WEDNESDAY 4pm onwards
(Some additional sessions will be held on Friday Evenings)
Families on low incomes with children and young people struggle to afford to take part in activities on offer in Rhyl. In our area there is a lack of services and facilities for children and young people too. There are many children and young people with nothing to do and nowhere to go.
We provide sport, leisure and social activities, and informal education. We provide for children and young people with nothing to do and nowhere to go. It gives something to do and look forward to each week. It gets children out the house and gives parents a break too.
The kids love our activities with a real passion. Our sports and games help get kids active and away from their computers for a bit. It helps their fitness, mind, body and socially too. They learn to mix with lots of other kids, and play together in a team.
We have around 80 children and young people from this area that have been to Street Games, with 20-30 regularly coming to most sessions. They’re aged 8 – 13 years. The sessions run on Wednesdays, 4.00pm – 5.30pm.
All organisers are volunteers. The local Council Sports Workers come and help sometimes. They relate really well to our kids, so this helps them a lot. The Council and local Communities First help with advice and equipment too.
Now you know a little about us, why not come along and see what it's all about for yourself!
